Use your employee or student assistance program

If you are an employee of a U.S.-based company, you may have access to an employee assistance program (EAP).

EAPs are free and confidential. They provide professional consultation for concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, drug or alcohol problems, relationship issues, grief and more.

Most college institutions also provide contacts and mental health services for free or at affordable rates. These campus programs also offer other resources to help raise awareness and reduce the stigma of seeking help.

For more information, consult your employer's human resources (HR) or the school's benefits department.
